As the 2014 FIFA World Cup gets closer and closer, you can expect a host of artistic and promotional projects to come out of the woodwork. One of the pretty cool projects to come out recently is from the people at ESPN, who have commissioned Brazilian artist Cristiano Sigueira to design national posters for all 32 teams participating in the World Cup.
One interesting feature of these national World Cup team posters is their focus on star players (either individuals or groups) for each team, while displaying the team name in stylized print. They look pretty cool, and might make a good addition to any World Cup soccer fan’s wall.
What will actually be done with the posters, though, remains to be seen. You can see some of them in the gallery up top, and the whole set can be seen at ESPN’s MediaZone website here– you need a MediaZone account to get high-res versions, though.
