Etihad Airways is bringing the principles of luxury hotels to the skies with the new “First Apartments” on board the A380 planes. The nine “First Apartments” will be the first ever single aisle cabins in the history of air travel, offering travelers an unprecedented combination of luxury and privacy.
The Etihad Airways “First Apartments” come equipped with reclining seats, a full-length bed, minibar, shower, and more. Each one has 39 square feet of space – enough room for the standard 24-inch HDTV and personal wardrobe and vanity. An on-flight chef takes food orders, including special off-the-menu requests, and the on-demand entertainment system boasts more than 750 hours of movies, TV shows, games, and music.
A firm launch date for the new line of Etihad Airways A380 luxury passenger planes has yet to be released, but you can see plenty of pictures of the “First Apartments” in the gallery up at the top. Pricing is also being kept under wraps, but I’m guessing they’re going to be pretty expensive. Just a hunch.
