The year was 1991, and “Sport Blue” was one of five original colorways released for the Air Jordan 6; however, for whatever reason, it was very shortly discontinued, and the “Sport Blue” Air Jordan 6 colorway always got passed over for retro releases in the ensuing years. But now, Jordan Brand is releasing a new “Sport Blue” Air Jordan 6, and they’ve leaked a few official photos to prove it.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro “Sport Blue” combines a mostly white upper with the titular color, as well as hits of black. There’s also a heel loop that’s said to have been inspired by the Porsche 911 Turbo, so this is an interesting sneaker all-around.
You can see just how interesting the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Sport Blue” is by checking out the official Jordan Brand photos of the sneaker in the gallery up at the top. And mark your calendar for August 16th, 2014, when the shoe is set to hit select JB retailers with a $170 price tag.
