Boathouses are not generally known as triumphs of architecture or interior comfort, but that just makes this boathouse in Muskoka Lakes, Ontario, from architect Christopher Simmonds even more impressive than it would otherwise be.
Christopher Simmonds’ Muskoka Lakes boathouse has room for up to two speedboats, but it’s the second story that will probably get most of your attention. That’s because it includes a full living space, with the inclusion of a kitchen, guest room, balcony, fireplace, and more. There’s even space for an HDTV on the wall, making this the perfect place to hide out until the heat dies down after a big job (or something less illegal).
