Meet The Verrückt Meg-A-Blaster: The World’s Tallest Waterslide (Video)
Kansas City’s Schlitterbahn waterpark is putting itself on the map in a pretty unforgettable way by constructing a 17-story high waterslide called the Verrückt Meg-A-Blaster. For perspective’s sake, keep in mind that Verrückt (German for “insane”) is taller than Niagara Falls, although presumably you don’t need a barrel to go down it safely.
The Verrückt Meg-A-Blaster is a raft slide that carries four people down more than 135 feet and at top speeds of around 65 miles per hour. According to Schlitterbahn co-owner Jeff Henry, it’s “going to be a game changer for our industry. Our greatest challenge will be to find thrill seekers brave enough to ride.”
I don’t know about all that, but I do know that the drone-shot video of Schlitterbahn’s Verrückt Meg-A-Blaster is straight-up terrifying. You can watch it below, and you should head to Kansas City’s Schlitterbahn (you can check out their website here) this summer if you think you’re Verrückt enough to ride.
