If you’ve ever gone to a record store right after an appointment at the optometrist, some of these “LEGO Albums” by artist Harry Heaton will probably look a little bit familiar to you. That’s because they’re from his current project which is to take album covers and digitally alter them so they appear to be made out of LEGO.
No, contrary to what some confused people on the internet seem to think, Heaton isn’t using actual LEGO bricks to make his LEGO album covers. On the project’s Tumblr page here, it says “THESE ARE DIGITALLY MADE. PLEASE CHECK IF THE ALBUMS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DONE BEFORE MAKING A REQUEST.” Still, they look pretty cool, right? And you can see a full overview of how he makes them on the page.
You can take a look at just how cool the LEGO album covers by Harry Heaton are by checking out a sampling of them in the gallery up top. And for more of Heaton’s other work, check out his main blog here.
