One of the highlights so far of CES, a technology convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, was the unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG. The car almost certainly gets the usual high performance and luxury marks you’d expect from a Mercedes-Benz, but it also represents an important advancement that will be of interest to people who don’t know anything about car engines—the touchscreen QNX infotainment system, which changes driving (or just sitting) inside the CLA 45 AMG into a fully interactive experience.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG is also distinguished by its black vinyl exterior, which makes this car as sleek and smooth on the outside as QNX makes it on the inside. The QNX’s 21-inch by 7-inch screen gives users access to Android apps like iHeartRadio and many others, as well as passenger smartphone/tablet interaction and multiple navigation systems.
Release details on the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG are still to come, but you can check out a bunch of photos straight from CES in the gallery up top. Enjoy.
