Guilty: A Mega Yacht by Jeff Koons and Ivana Porfiri (Pics)
The average mega yacht isn’t usually designed with artistic value in mind, but then again, the Guilty isn’t your average mega yacht. The Guilty, owned by Dakis Joannou and designed collaboratively by Jeff Koons and Ivana Porfiri, is 115 feet of artistic irreverence, with a unique geometric design that was inspired by the British Navy in World War I. The philosophy of the camouflage (called “Razzle Dazzle”) was simple: Not to hide the craft, but to confuse whoever might lay eyes on it.
So yesterday’s confusion becomes today’s artistic statement in the form of the Guilty mega yacht. And as bold as Guilty’s exterior is, the interior represents yet another change of pace, with each part of the yacht’s interior designed around a different art installation.
You can get a much better idea of what the mega yacht named Guilty is all about by checking out photos of the boat in the gallery up top. And for more, you can take a look at the Forbes piece about Guilty here.
