The watchmakers at IWC are paying tribute to one of the heavyweights in the field of natural exploration, Charles Darwin, with a new edition of their Aquatimer Chronograph. It’s called the “Expedition Charles Darwin” Edition, designed for all kinds of seafaring voyages, of the Beagle and otherwise.
The IWC Aquatimer Chronograph “Expedition Charles Darwin” Edition has the features you would expect from IWC, like water resistance down to 2,000 meters, an illuminated face for nighttime expeditions, and an elegant bronze case. As for Charles Darwin, he makes his presence known on the back of the watch, in the form of a lovingly rendered portrait of the legendary naturalist.
Release details such as pricing and availability for the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph “Expedition Charles Darwin” Edition are still to come, but you can get a whole bunch of information on it and other upcoming watches from IWC here. And there are a few photos of the watch in the gallery at the top of the page, so enjoy.
