Unless you’re Birdman (the superhero, not the rapper), it’s not easy to personally harness the power of the sun in a way that goes beyond the simple sustenance of all life on Earth. Until now, that is, thanks to XD Design’s new Port Solar Charger, a high-tech alternative to cheap solar chargers that were previously available.
The first clue that the Port Solar Charger is a more advanced animal than other solar chargers is its greater size – although it’s still small enough to be taken with you almost anywhere. It sticks to any window, and will charge anything with a USB port. There’s even a built-in LED indicator that lets you know when your phone or tablet is fully charged.
You can see a few photos of the XD Design Port Solar Charger in the gallery at the top of the page. And to buy one, head to online retailers like this one, where it’s currently available for just under $80.
