In honor of Michael Jordan‘s high school basketball career at Emsley A. Laney High School, Jordan Brand has released a variety of “Laney” colorways. The latest is the “Black Laney” Air Jordan 5.
The “Black Laney” Air Jordan 5 takes the Laney colors of royal blue and yellow and combines them with the addition of black suede—hence the “Black Laney” moniker. Other Laney-related touches are on the shoe as well, such as the high school crest on the heel in lieu of the usual #23 branding.
Release details, other than the MSRP of $160, are still on the way. But there are several pictures of the Air Jordan 5 “Black Laney” in the gallery up top, courtesy of eBay user ajaddiction, who’s selling a pair for $1000, if you’re feeling impatient.
