The time finally appears to be right for a genuine smartwatch to hit the market. At least, that’s what the people at Samsung seem to think, with the unveiling of the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch.
Each of the Galaxy Gear’s six different colors comes with features like a 1.9 megapixel camera, a built-in wrist strap speaker and 4 GB of internal storage capacity. As for battery life, it’s safe to say that in that arena, regular watches are still superior; according to Samsung, a full charge is good for an “entire day” of use.
The worldwide roll-out for the Samsung Galaxy Gear will be on September 25th, when it will retail for $300. For more, check out the official press release at Samsung’s website here.
