Rogue Beard Beer

Maybe if I knew more about chemistry I’d know for sure if Rogue Beard Beer is as disgusting an idea as it sounds. It started as an April Fool’s Day prank, when brewmaster John Maier of the unorthodox brewery, Rogue, had his beard analyzed for a strain of yeast that could be used to brew a beer.

Allegedly due to all the time Maier and his beard spent at the Rogue brewery, the yeast in his beard was indeed suitable for brewing. And here we are.

If you’re brave enough to try it, head to Rogue’s online store here, where a bottle will cost you just under $7. Godspeed.
