Right now, the tallest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, at just under 830 meters high. But if China’s “Sky City” project makes it to completion, it will beat out the previous record holder by an easy 10 meters.
Not only that, but the projected $625 million cost is less than half that of what the Burj Khalifa’s developers spent, and its estimated 7 month construction time pales in comparison to the Burj Khalifa’s 60-month construction.
Of course, you know what they say about the best-laid plans of mice and men—they often go awry.
