“Plus-size” models are not new to the fashion industry, but they’re almost always relegated to ads for “plus-sized” clothes, while dangerously thin supermodels continue to rule the big leagues. But that might be changing if this new H&M editorial is any indication.
The editorial features model Jennie Runk with very little in the way of “plus size” indicators, opting instead for a subtle “H&M +” branding. This approach is a bit of a step forward in the fashion world, and might lead more brands to do the same.
