Crazyflie Nano Quadcopter

In news that would probably make Bruce Wayne or Doc Savage jealous, there’s now a small, remote-controlled helicopter (but with 4 propellers instead of just one) that fits in the palm of your hand and is currently available to the public. It’s called the Crazyflie Nano Quadcopter, and the possibilities of what you could do with such a device are actually sort of frightening.

The whole shebang includes a 32-bit processor, an accelerometer, compass, and altimeter, plus a small gyroscope in order to keep it stable in mid-air. The Quadcopter’s rechargeable battery can keep it flying for up to 7 minutes, and it is controlled via a USB transmitter and your computer.

Surprisingly, the Crazyflie Nano Quadcopter costs only $175, so if you’re enough of a tech head to know what you’re doing, you can get one here.
