If you took a look at Leica‘s new M9-P Hermes Edition camera and thought to yourself, “that’s nice, but it would be even cooler if it were way cheaper and made out of LEGO,” then I have some good news for you that you probably already guessed.
From LEGO artist Chris McVeigh comes a LEGO replica of the Leica M9-P Hermes Edition, with all the little visual details that make a replica work. They don’t make the camera work, of course, but what do you have to take pictures of that’s cooler than a LEGO replica camera?
And when I said it’s cheaper, I wasn’t kidding: The original camera from Leica goes for about $50,000, while a kit to build the LEGO replica yourself costs $38 here. Or, you could just look at a couple photos, plus one of the real camera for comparison, in the gallery above for free. So many choices, it must be really tough to decide.
