The latest team-themed retro release from Jordan Brand is the Air Jordan 1 Retro Mid in a gold, white and purple “Lakers” colorway. It might seem like an odd choice, considering the fact that Michael Jordan was never on the Lakers team. But his first appearance in the NBA Finals was against Magic Johnson and the LA Lakers back in 1991, so the theme is at least somewhat appropriate.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Mid “Lakers” is defined by the gold-and-white upper, with splashes of purple in the form of purple laces and purple logos (the Nike “swoosh” and the Air Jordan logo are both in purple).
