The World’s Oldest Courvoisier Cognac Costs $145,000
Glenfiddich Breaks World Record With $94,000 Whiskey
In honor of Janet Sheed Roberts (the founder of Glenfiddich’s granddaughter) and her life, which spanned an impressive 110 years, the brewers of Glenfiddich’s fine Scotch whiskey have released a limited edition set of 15 bottles that had been aging since 1955! And one of those bottles has broken the world record for most valuable whiskey, having sold for $94,000 at an auction!
The man who paid this unprecedented price is an anonymous whiskey fan out of Atlanta, Georgia. And if I were him, I’d be a little bit nervous about my record being broken so soon after setting it, as the last of these bottles of special Scotch are going up for auction on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
