We’ve all been there – you’re standing in line at the Bell, checking out the menu, and nothing seems quite right. You know you’re in the mood for some Taco Bell cuisine, but you don’t want something that they’ll give to any sucker. You’re special, and you’re sick of the regular stuff. So, here are 9 delicious (?) Taco Bell items that are hidden from the regular menu. Order one for you and your date and she’ll think you’re a total big-shot!

Cheesaritos

Cheesaritos

You have to be a long-time Taco Bell fan to remember the Cheesarito, since they haven’t been on the official menu for many years. But, if you ask for them, they’re not too difficult to whip up. Lots of cheese, scallions, and taco sauce, wrapped up in a soft tortilla. Yeah, you could make it at home, but what would be the fun of that?

The Hulk

The Hulk

There are actually two versions of this legendary off-menu item, so pay attention. The first version is a regular bean and cheese burrito with guacamole added. Cool, but yawn, right? The fancier version is a “five-layer burrito with guacamole in place of the nacho cheese.” I think you probably know which one is right for you.

The Superman

The Superman

What is The Superman? It’s a very non-heroic addition of ingredients like “potatoes, sour cream, guacamole and crispy tortilla strips” to a regular cheesy double beef burrito. The result is a drunken frat boy’s Kryptonite.

Chili Cheese Burrito

Chili Cheese Burrito

Sick of the regular burrito options at your local Taco Bell? Well then look your cashier straight in the eye and say “I’ll have the Chili Cheese Burrito please.” You won’t regret it, assuming you enjoy chili and cheese. And burritos.

Enchirito

Enchirito

Basically a fancy riff on the enchilada, the Enchirito is stuffed with beef, beans, and cheese, and covered with red sauce, diced onions, and more cheese. You won’t be wanting for cheese, in other words. And we all know how lacking in cheese most regular Taco Bell items tend to be.

Green Sauce

Green Sauce

Older Taco Bell aficionados will recall this chartreuse condiment from its availability in trademark clear plastic packages. Now, unfortunately for the green sauce’s fans, it’s been discontinued by Taco Bell. But, in some locations, you can still snag some if you’re polite.

Double Grilled Quesadillas

Double Grilled Quesadilla

Here’s a secret off-the-menu item that’s pretty self-explanatory. It’s like their regular quesadilla, but they grill it up for you twice. The result, as you can see, is a bit of char-grilled goodness that you don’t often see in fast food.

Cheesy Gordita Crunch

Cheesy Gordita Crunch

This gooey delight was formerly a regular Taco Bell menu item (and still is in some markets). But if you don’t see it at your local Bell, don’t despair – you can order it anyway. Just try not to make a huge deal out of it, alright?

Lava-Style

Lava Taco Salad

Though it’s not apparent on the Taco Bell menu, you can order almost anything “lava style” for a generous dose of the restaurant’s hottest “lava sauce.” Since you can pour as much of the stuff on anything you want on your own, the only useful purpose for this option I see is pulling a prank on your sensitive-to-spice friend. Which is a fantastic idea that you should definitely try.
