most expensive hotel suites in the world

When you’re taking a trip, whether for business or for pleasure, you want to be comfortable. And for most of us, being “comfortable” away from home simply means staying in a clean hotel room that has cable, a mini fridge, and a clean shower. However, as the rich people of the world demonstrate time and time again, “comfort” is a relative term. So when these people travel, the Holiday Inn just won’t do. Instead, they stay in ridiculously luxurious hotel suites that are nicer than any house you have ever visited, let alone actually lived in. And these suites cost a hell of a lot of money.

How much money? You’ll have to read on to find out. So let’s get clicking, shall we?

15. The Peninsula Suite

Hotel: The Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong

Price: $10,000 per night

Our first entry—the 4,000 square foot Peninsula Suite in Hong Kong—will cost you a very reasonable 10K/night. This price includes a Roll-Royce pickup at the airport, plus 24-hour butler and concierge service. However, if you want a helicopter shuttle to the hotel’s helipad, that’s extra.

14. The Sultan's Suite

14 ciragan palace kempinski sultan suite most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Çirağan Palace Kempinski, Istanbul

Price: $15,300 per night

This hotel was originally the palace that housed the Ottoman Sultans from the 16th century until their demise after World War I. Today it’s a five star hotel with this incredible Sultan’s Suite overlooking the Istanbul Straight (aka the Bosphorus). Of course, all you really need to see in order to understand the opulence of this suite is the bathroom. It’s pretty okay.

13. The Ritz-Carlton Suite Moscow

13 ritz-carlton moscow ritz-carlton suite most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Ritz-Carlton, Moscow

Price: $18,000 per night

You can never go wrong with the Ritz-Carlton. And the premier 2,500 square foot suite at the RC Moscow—which features a living room, dining room, library, office (pictured), and grand piano (for rich dudes who like to tickle the ivories)—just happens to overlook Red Square, the Kremlin, and St. Basil’s Cathedra. No big deal.

12. The Burj Al Arab Royal Suite

12 royal suite burj al arab dubai most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Burj Al Arab, Dubai

Price: $18,700 per night

The sail-shaped Burj Al Arab in Dubai is so luxurious that it’s sometimes called the world’s first 7-star hotel. After all, every “room” in this place is, in fact, a two-level suite. However, the Royal Suite is the best. It’s 8,400 square feet, has a private cinema, and a rotating four-post bed in the master bedroom. However, there is a maximum occupancy of 4 adults and 2 children, or 5 adults, and the Rolls-Royce pickup at the airport costs extra, which is some BS.

11. The Hôtel George-V Royal Suite

11 hotel george v paris most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: The Four Seasons George V, Paris

Price: $24,500 per night

If you like French antiques—you know, crystal chandeliers and furniture upholstery with tassels—this is the suite for you. It’s also the suite for you if you have a thing for famous fountains, because this one overlooks the famous art deco work, The Three Graces.

10. The Royal Towers Bridge Suite

Hotel: Atlantis Hotel, Bahamas

Price: $25,000 per night

This one has 10 rooms, a full-service bar, a grand piano, and a butler. Wait, no, apparently it’s a baby grand piano.

Nevermind, this suite sucks.

9. The Ritz-Carlton Suite Tokyo

Hotel: Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo

Price: $25,050 per night

This suite is only 1,300 square feet. How could anyone possibly be comfortable in just 1,300 square feet? Still, it does have some pretty impressive views of the Tokyo skyline, including the Imperial Palace and Mount Fuji. So I guess that would be nice.

8. Villa La Cupola Suite

8 villa la cupola suite westin excelsior rome most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Westin Excelsior, Rome

Price: $30,000 per night

This suite is so nice, it’s actually too good to be associated with the hotel in which it is located. Thus, the Villa La Cupola has it’s very own website. And, in addition to the website, this suite has frescos, stained glass, marbles everything, a ridiculous hot tub room (pictured), and a rooftop terrace on which to soak up the Roman sun.

7. The Cala di Volpe Presidential Suite

7 hotel cala di volpe sardinia most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Hotel Cala di Volpe, Sardinia

Price: $32,700 per night

Located on the second-largest island in the Mediterranean, this suite has stunning views of what the locals call the Costa Smeralda—i.e., the Emerald Coast. While it only has three bedrooms, it does have its own private rooftop pool and a wine cellar.

6. The Royal Villa

Hotel: Grand Resort Lagonissi, Athens

Price: $34,300 per night

If the incredible beauty of this suite isn’t enough for you, keep in mind that this suite also has two pools, a sauna, and a sauna. Oh, and it comes with a chef, a butler, and a private pianist. Because stereos are for poor people.

5. The Hugh Hefner Sky Villa

5 the palms las vegas playboy suite most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Palms Resort, Las Vegas

Price: $35,500 per night

You might recall that the pool at the Hefner Sky Villa was featured on our list of the world’s greatest swimming pools a little while back. Well, the rest of the 9,000 square foot suite is pretty nice, too. And since it’s a Playboy suite, it’s also kind of racy, with erotica hanging on the walls a huge rotating bed in the master bedroom.

4. The Hotel Martinez Penthouse Suite

4 hotel martinez cannes most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Hotel Martinez, Cannes

Price: $35,700 per night

This suite has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room, a dining room, and a huge terrace overlooking the mediterranean. As for the rest of Hotel Martinez, it’s got a Michelin-starred restaurant and it’s very own private beach. So you might be pretty comfortable here.

3. The Ty Warner Penthouse Suite

3 ty warner penthouse suite four seasons new york most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: The Four Seasons, New York

Price: $42,000 per night

Who is Ty Warner? Just the guy who made $4,000,000,000 because he invented Beanie Babies. (No joke.) In the mid-2000s, Warner decided to diversify his company’s interests by invested in hotels and resorts around the world, and as you surely have guessed by now, one of the hotels he owns is the Four Seasons in New York.

As for the 4,000 square foot Ty Warner Penthouse Suite, it is the product of designer Peter Marino and architect I.M. Pae and features 360 degree views of Manhattan, fabrics woven with gold and platinum, and a private butler, personal trainer, and chauffeur.

2. The Raj Palace Presidential Suite

2 presidential suite raj palace hotel jaipur india most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: The Raj Palace Hotel, Jaipur

Price: $45,000 per night

Now here’s a suite you can really spread out in—because it’s a whopping 16,000 square feet. Of course, as you probably guessed, it was formerly the four-story apartment of the Maharaja, and as such is decorated in stucco, ivory, and gold. There’s also a private pool, panoramic views of Jaipur, and a private museum. (Who doesn’t like having a private museum in their hotel room?)

1. The Royal Penthouse Suite

1 presidential suite hotel president wilson geneva most expensive hotel suites

Hotel: Hotel Président Wilson, Geneva

Price: $65,000 per night

This suite was designed for rich oil sheiks and heads of state, what with it’s bullet-proof doors and windows. Of course, it offers more than mere security. The suite, which takes up the entire 5th floor of the hotel, offers panoramic views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, and among its 12 rooms are a billiard room, library, and private gym.
