Rolls Royce Ghost Coupe To Be The Fastest Ever
1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder Added To RM’s Monterey Auction
You’re probably familiar with the 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder even if you don’t recognize the name. Why? Because it is the famous red car seen in the cult classic, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The reason the car is such a prized possession is that there were only approximately one hundred produced (the one in the movie is a replica).
Now, there is going to be one on the auction block, courtesy of RM Auctions, and they estimate that it has a value of between $7.5 and $9 million. Back in 2008, a 1961 model set a record by earning $10.9 million. So there is always the possibility that this auction just might break some records as well.
For those interested, the action will be taking place in Monterey, California at the Portola Hotel & Spa and Monterey Conference Center on August 17-18. For more information on the event, visit RM Auctions’ website, here.
