most expensive cars in the world

The last two days, we’ve brought you lists of insanely expensive private jets and private helicopters. So today’s topic was a no-brainer: a list of the 20 most expensive cars in the world.

So what kinds of cars are we looking at, here? Well, most of them would be classified as supercars, which means they can top 200 mph. However, there is one limo, which, by comparison, is kind of lame. But it is a convertible, so that’s nice.

Either way, they’re all rare and exotic, and it would probably be the thrill of your automotive life to drive any one of them. So without any further ago, let’s get started.

20. Ferrari SA Aperta

#3 Ferrari 599XX

Country:  Italy
Engine: v12, 700 horsepower

#2 Bugatti Veyron Supersport

Country:  France
Engine: 16 cylinders, 1200 horsepower
0-60: 2.4 seconds

1. Maybach Exelero

#1 Maybach Exelero

Country:  Germany
Engine: V12 twin turbo

This was the winning design of 24-year-old design student Fredrik Burchhard. Rapper Bryan “Birdman” Williams reportedly purchased this car for $8 million. And why not? As a one-off, it’s probably a good investment (so long as the world doesn’t end before it appreciates).
