TUDelft all-electric superbus

Dutch motor company TUDelft has put together what it calls a “Superbus”. This all-electric vehicle is a revolutionary refinement on existing buses, and looks more like a limousine with plenty of seating.

This six-wheeled, ion-battery powered Superbus began as a concept in 2004 and has since then turned into a 50ft long, 8ft wide vehicle with a seating capacity of 23.  Despite its incredibly large size, it can still reach a top speed of 155mph.

With the move away from gasoline to electric, the Superbus may some day become as commonplace as the Toyota Prius and other vehicles like it.
